Things Part Two: Echolands

Wednesday February 28th 2018, 7:36 pm

Echolands! In the past this has been referred to as Secret Project Number 1. There isn’t much to report just yet, other than it actually exists. I’ll be teasing out images from this for the next while. This is going to come out from Image Comics. No release date has been selected yet, because this is a very large project and we want to make sure we have loads of it done before even thinking about soliciting the book for ordering. At least 5 issues done and absolutely ready for print first.

Below is the limited print that was given away at last week’s Image Expo in Portland…

Any update on Echolands ? I am looking forward to it. I am an orphan of your work after I recently finished reading Sandman Overture.

Kind Regards

Indeed.
Well, it’s been almost 9 months since the above comment, and I must say — I echo the sentiment that we are orphans – or more like lost sailors at sea, drifting until we may or may not encounter the sands of your island, setting foot on solid ground once more.
please, some news…

So very sorry for not being present on here for such a long time. Life has been chaos, as many of you know already. As chaos increases, so does the movement of time. And the result is too much time goes by before we realize it. Anyway, Echolands is still happening. I’m drawing issue 6 right now, and a launch window was going to be selected, conversations were going to happen about that the very week the pandemic set in. So those conversations obviously didn’t happen. But this project will come, and hopefully will be something good to experience when the world can get back to being a better place.

Wonderful to see Echolands is still coming out, I was going down a rabbit hole on the internet tonight looking at Dave Stewart’s work for coloring inspiration and remembered the brilliant team you are, which landed me back here.

You are such a phenomenal artist and storyteller; thank you for pushing the medium forward and the many years of enjoyment I have found through your works.

The Art Against Fascism and Bigotry badges by you and Wendy are superb; be well in the better days to come.
