Logo version. I’ve been trying to have some fun with the logo work on the recent covers, trying to garner an additional aspect to composition or feel of the image. With issue 22 last month, and issue 23 here, I’m pretty happy about the results…

Wow, super AMAZING issue. I love the story writing and the art is great ( I so wish Trevor McCarthy worked in ink, because I’d love a page of his )!

I love where this is going, and I am really enjoying the growth of characters.

Thanks for keeping up the great work!

Hope all is well.

Really bummed that I haven’t been able to get the last two issues due to my lack of finances of late. Trying to save money. Which is ironic since I’ve already pre-ordered Batwoman vol. 3 and already have that full story arc in singles already. 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be getting some extra cash soon now that I’ve got a steady job again so I can catch up. Last issue I got was #21.

Hello Pat Starnes
Thanks very much. We hope the big showdown pays off for everyone. Too big to fit in a single issue…

No worries, you’ll catch up when you can.

Now, I may be biased, but to me – it’s Kate and Mags, their relationship that will ground and make Batwoman all the more human. Kate taking the fear serum and Mags lying with her through the results … just a wonderful scene and perfect for showing BOTH characters and their loyalty. I loved it !!

Bravo!

Hello, The coloring look is so natural, organic. I like this method much, much more than the usual.

A ?, just YES or NO. For the B+W washes you and Dave put to color, ARE YOU MAGNETIC LASSOING each area to do the hue saturation, and color balancing?

This what I am doing, THOUGH I would like to speed up the process, but I can’t think of another way, aside from hand painting. Is it through multiplying in layers?

Hello JH,

I do want to find out if you have magnetic lasso every form for hue saturation? My art is very different from yours, and I have been searching, working hard as a poor artist doing his best to maintain his vision. Your typing yes or no can at least show me in some way if there is a quicker way, than magnetic lassoing. I really am pleased with the hue sat. results but really could use ANY crumb of advice in this area. Multiplying layers doesn’t seem the way since gray is not so defined a line art. Thanks.

Sorry for my insistance, and of course who the hell am I right, and your busy beyond belief. I can’t find any information anywhere about this, But I’ll shut up, (being a pest) and continue on with the lasso.
