Always fun to see how you get from point a to point b. I forgot to mention, that last week I saw photos of next week’s Absolute Promethea (over on Bendis’ forum) that someone posted and it looks like FINALLY, that seminal creation of this medium (Promethea, of course) has gotten the presentation that is equal to the blood, sweat, and tears you put into it (and you know that I say this out of complete sincerity, not to kiss up to you because nobody needs that). Seriously, everyone needs to call up their favorite comic store and sign up for Absolute Promethea! Hi To Wendy!

Hey there Ralph
Yep, I just received my copies yesterday and plan on doing a blog about it in a few days. It was very strange looking at it for me, seeing this work in a new light after 10 years. I have mixed feelings about it that I will talk about when I blog about it.

PROMETHEA is one of my favorite books, but hard to re-read.

That painting of Batwoman is lovely, and the photoshop process is wild to watch.

Hello Deane
I’m glad you enjoy seeing the covers broken down into the steps I take.

Out of curiosity, what makes Promethea hard to re-read for you?

Just out of curiosity, how old is Kate supposed to be?

I think she is supposed to be around age 30 or so.

Amazing work JH! I don’t know if there are any plans or not, but I was wondering if we’d be so lucky as to have you do a “Tec” cover OR few that features Question (and even Huntress with her upcoming appearence in the co-feature)? Your work is incredible! I’d love to see your take on some other characters featured in the book. Heck why not even a Batwoman, Question, Huntress cover! Keep up the amazing work! I don’t think anyone is doing it better than you at the moment!

Thanks, Erica. The plan is for me to do the covers for the issues that fall between my interior work. So you just may get your wishes.

Looking good. Does the “2” under “Ago” mean anything?

Hey there kudamono
It just means part 2 of the new story.

Comment by jhw3 10.02.09 @ 10:11 am

I hope it comes to fruition. I’m salivating at the possibility! Thanks for the response JH!!
