Still no flashback to the direct aftermath of the proposal?! I mean you would think that something so pivotal and important like Maggie finding out her girlfriend is Batwoman would be at least mentioned. I mean it’s a huge thing and I imagine Maggie would need time to think/come to terms with it. I mean the proposal was kind of a big deal.

I am loving that Beth is coming back however.

MAN! Trevor is doing a really great job, I hope you’re proud of him!!! But I think all fans are awaiting your return. We can’t get enough of JHW3!

Thank you for keeping us inspired!

1. I love Trevor’s cover. It’s really cool. I love the detail, and the cape is awesome!

2. The Mad Magazine variant is kinda creepy!

Hope all is going well!

Kudos to Trevor for yesterday’s issue. He has some very large shoes to fill and this cover is amazing.

The variant cover was definitely an odd surprise but I could only laugh as I was a Mad magazine reader when I was younger. I can practically hear Kate singing, “I’m gonna wash that man right outta my hair…” 😛

Looking forward to seeing Sandman (and more Batwoman). Keep up the good work, sir!

Hey there Sam
We’re dealing with the aftermath over time in the present day developments.

Hey Katrin
I’m glad you dig the issue. I like where we’re going with this. And yeah, that MAD cover is highly weird, but entertaining for certain.

Am a massive MAd fan, just ordered FELDSTEIN MAD LIFE & FANTASTIC ART OF HC a few minutes ago!, Got My MAD Artist’s Edition, but my highlight is my EC Collectibly Mad: The Mad and Ec Collectibles Guide – signed by Bill Gaines himself!

Finally got this in the mail today. Great stuff. Nice to get some backstory on Chase. Maggie’s nightmare was pretty creepy. Also, I loved the “I never said we were partners” line.

More great work. I like that you are incorporating more elements from Chase’s series, but I have a question. Are Chase and Bones’s appearances in Manhunter now considered non-canon in the New 52? I am asking because this current version of Chase seems much more similar to your original character than the version in Manhunter. For instance, it is hard to picture her as Dylan Battles’ girlfriend or Kate Spencer’s best gal pal, totally okay with Ms. Spencer being Manhunter.

Hey there CraigM
Glad you dig the issue, and sorry for delayed reply. Busy busy.

Hello Brack360
At this point it’s hard to say if that material is canon or not. In my opinion, we’ve brought Chase to a darker place, things have changed for her in her life since then. I’d like to think what you’ve seen before happened, but some other things occurred off camera that has lead her to where she is in Batwoman. Maybe we’ll get to explore that someday.
