Tuesday October 02nd 2012, 7:36 pmThe grind sets in rapidly, there is no time to take a breath. The production schedule just won’t allow it. This is what is so insidious about monthly comics, and eventually it weakens them. There is impossible demand set by parameters of a bygone era, parameters that just don’t function properly in today’s oh so hectic world. The work flow needing my direct immediate attention has me a bit blue and introverted. After such a heady experience this past weekend, time won’t let me stop to let it all settle in. I feel like it was a bubble of convergence, something from a pocket dimension that we were transported to, but now squeezed out with nothing left but fast fading embers floating past us. Staring from outside as it closes up, deflating out of existence much faster than I would like. I want to grab for one of those last drifting sparks, bottle it up, save it, to hopefully rekindle the fire.

Rodger that, Mister Marc! There are entire armies of creative people willing to lend their flames if it meant keeping you running strong, J3–if such a thing were transferable.

Thank you, but I’d hate to dim any of your spark for my own self satisfaction, that would be unkind of me. I’ll find a way.
Know exactly how you feel my G. My trick was to splurge as many of my unfiltered thoughts into an evernote pad on the plane home, and put a single instrumental rap piece on all day while I worked when I got back allowing my brain to sort of freestyle on the matter in a half conscious, sometimes unconscious state. That’s started coming out as crystalised thoughts and fragments of new songs in the shower in the morning.
