Festivities with Greg Rucka and myself will occur in Las Vegas Nevada. You can get this commemorative print, see above, in support of the Hero Initiative exclusively at the signing. All proceeds go to Hero Initiative, a benefit for those in need. Details of the event can be found in the schedule section on this site. Please come out and see us at either store, or both, if ya just hang out and chat.

Hey! You’re pretty good! Wanna do a book together or something?

I don’t remember seeing this before. Nice idea, the limited edition art prints I mean. Hope the signing is a huge success.

Hey there Mike
This was literally done in the last 2 days. Sooner, if we hadn’t lost power on our block for almost 24 hours.

Hi JW,

Three questions:

1. Any chance that Batwoman print will be available to buy from Hero Initiative for folks like me who don’t live near LV? There’s already a place on my wall for it…

2. Any chance of a B/W printing of your Batwoman stories? The pages you’ve posted here look wonderful.

3. Are you working on Batwoman for the long haul or are you on just for this 4-issue run?

BTW, having met you through my work with Top Shelf Productions at SD, I’ve found you to be as nice and gracious in person as your comics work has been uniformly beautiful. This industry is lucky to have you in it…

See you one day soon on the convention trail (just not SD this year)…

Thanks again,

Wayne

Hey there Wayne Beamer
Right now there are no plans for producing this print outside of this signing event, but I will talk with the Hero Initiative guys to see if they are into the idea.

There has been some talk of doing black and white versions but nothing has been decided. I recommend you write DC and demand it.

I’ll be on Detective for a minimum of 12 issues. There may be a couple of fill ins, so I’ll be around for the first 14 of the run.

And thank you kindly for the nice comments, it means a lot to hear things like that,

Hey JW,

Great news about the 12- or 14-issue run on Detective.

Actually, a GN collection of the first Batwoman arc in B/W would definitely make me want to double-dip.

Appreciate you talking to the Hero Initiative guys about selling the print.

Take care,

Wayne

I will let my editor know how you feel about a black and white version. I’ve been hearing a lot of this.

I got a chance to go to meet you Mr. Williams along with Rucka. I was like the last guy to buy one of your commemorative prints and I have it signed and framed by your guys. But I forgot to get my certificate of althenticicty for my signing of my comic. Nobody game me one. Do you think you can get back to me and let me know if I can get one for my signed comic of: Detective Comics # 854.

If you don’t remember me I was the young fellow who mentioned about how nice the artwork was compared to the variant cover where she was kicking. Rucka said he like the main cover where she was swinging with the nice red colors of her cape showing.
